ChelseaO
Chelsea O is an artist, creator and innovator. She has worked in the mediums of circus, dance, harness dancing, film and theatre. She invented the Aerial kite, a unique circus apparatus, and has developed its original technique. Chelsea toured her Aerial kite solo with the company Cirque Plume in France from 2008-2010. She has also performed with companies such as: Cavalia, Sens Production, Rea'son d'etre productions and Zaccho dance theatre.
She has initiated numerous collaborations with cinematographers, composers, photographers and circus performers. Such collaborations include: Pordis (Icelandic film), Taryn Derlin (Bristol film), Sunlight Zone (Aerial dance performance), Chuckles (Circus hospital/retirement home tour) and Cirqu'elle (Summer Stage Performance). Chelsea's works have been supported by the Canada Council, the Ontario Arts Council, Conseil des Arts et lettres de Quebec, and Adesam. Today Chelsea continues to bring together enthusiastic teams to explore uncharted ground. |

Chelsea works one-on-one with students to create new aerial acts. She also works on guest contracts choreographing for companies such as: Circus Smirkus, The San Francisco Aerial Arts Festival, and NY Summer Stage.

Chelsea currently runs the Aerial dance program at East Bay Center for the Performing Arts, in Richmond CA. In addition to teaching Aerial Kite privately, she has taught Aerial Yoga in the Bay Area for the last 5 years. Stay tuned for her upcoming workshops.
